I limit my practice to helping people with their Social Security disability claims and their veteran’s disability claims. I am a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and the National Organization of Veterans’ Advocates (NOVA).

An Iowa native, I received a Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College in 1996. I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law graduating with distinction in 2000. I am admitted to the Iowa Bar, the Illinois Bar, the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa Federal Court, the Central District of Illinois Federal Court, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

I am a member of the Dubuque County Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association.

I practice primarily Social Security disability law, although I handle other matters in my general practice. I am a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).

I was born and raised in Farnhamville, Iowa. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology. I then spent almost ten years working as an analytical chemist before attending law school. I graduated from Creighton School of Law with my Juris Doctor degree. While at Creighton, I received a Certificate in Negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Werner Institute. After law school, I worked as a law clerk for the Judges of Iowa Judicial District 1A.

I am admitted to the Iowa Bar. I am a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Dubuque County Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division. I live in Dubuque, Iowa with my family.
